We have launched weekly Wellbeing Wednesday sessions to provide information and advice about how to take care of yourself and others.
A stand staffed by charities and specialist groups such as Macmillan, The Lullaby Trust (baby sleep awareness charity), the Stroke Association, carers groups and also community groups will be available each week at the centre.
The sessions will help patients improve your health and wellbeing, take control of your own conditions and get help and advice at a time that is convenient for them.
The subject changes every week and on a Wednesday we will have experts from the chosen organisation available to help answer questions and give advice.
And it’s not just about keeping healthy.
Wellbeing can be found in lots of different ways, for example volunteering within your community, attending classes or maybe going rambling, so we’d like to encourage community groups to come and join us and work with us to help improve people’s lives.
If you are part of a community group that would like to have a stall as part of Wellbeing Wednesday, contact Suzy on Suzy.Jackson@virgincare.co.uk.
We also want to encourage volunteers to be part of their patient engagement group, which focuses on how to improve the services that the centre offers. If you would like to be part of this, please contact Suzy on the email address above.
